In 2008, guitarist Max Engvik and former vocalist Christoffer Skogen laid the foundation for Astaroth. Over the years, the band evolved, and in 2009, Andreas Wรฆrholm, Carl Engstrรธm, and ร˜yvind Kvalvaag joined the ranks. The culmination of their sonic journey materialized in the autumn of 2009 with the recording of "Chaosatanas." However, complications ensued, leading to delays. After a lineup change and vocal re-recording, the album was primed for release in late 2013.
